What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Delilah loves the intensity of competition. It brings out a very serious side of her that we don’t normally see. She’s always willing to put in the extra work- mornings, nights, weekends, whatever it takes to improve. What she loves most is seeing that effort pay off when she competes at a high level. It fuels her. She’s not just playing to play- she’s playing to grow, to test herself, and to be better than she was the day before.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Delilah is most inspired by her dad. He’s not just her wrestling coach, he’s her biggest supporter in everything she takes on. No matter what she’s playing, he dives in. He learns the rules, the strategies, and scoring so he can guide and cheer her on. He’s there for every win and loss, showing up with unwavering love and support. His belief in her pushes her to give her all, knowing he’s always in her corner no matter the outcome.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

This year, Delilah stepped out of her comfort zone to join a national wrestling dual team, winning 4 of 6 matches. It was her first time competing at that level, and we had no idea what to expect. I was so proud watching her stay calm and focused, she wrestled each match with strategy and heart. Her confidence and her composure showed how much she’s grown, making this moment one I’ll always cherish.
