He is inspired most by his dad. His dad is a coach and played football for years. DJ grew up watching his dad play and coach, which has greatly impacted his love for the sport and dedication to improve.
The thing that makes me the most proud is how the sport has grown him into a young man. His coaches have taught him respect, hard work, consistency, love, and so many other irreplaceable characteristics which has equipped him with the lessons he needs to get through life successfully. The one moment that stands out was his grace for the opposing team after a tough loss this year in the junior Olympics. He congratulated the other team as if they were his brothers, and was genuinely happy for them
