Receive Text UpdatesMaking friends and getting to know other players, even on other teams. She says its like getting to have another family. Her and several of her teammates started a pinning game with other teams and love being able to create memories of encouragement and fun while at tournaments.
She responded to this prompt by saying: "honestly my sister and mom, because they have always tried their hardest, they've never really given up on anything and they persevere through everything they do and I want to try to put that into my sports."
When she had a terrible experience with a team and was contemplating not even playing anymore but then was able to join a different team and rebuild her love for the game. Another moment was, as her coach, having opposing teams say "who is number 19, everyone on my team absolutely loves her" and hearing such amazing things about how other people see her without them knowing we are related.
