Devaeh loves how softball builds her confidence and helps her believe in herself. On the field, she feels strong, focused, and proud. She enjoys forming close bonds with her teammates and growing together as a team. Softball gives her a space to express herself and do what she loves. Most of all, it empowers her and reminds her of how much she’s capable of.
Devaeh says her biggest inspiration comes from her mom and dad. She says that they support her in everything she does and always make sure she has what she needs, even during difficult times. Their strength and commitment encourage her to keep pushing forward and never quit. They’ve taught her to stay focused, work hard, and always strive to be her best, lessons she carries with her every time she’s on the field.
One of her proudest moments was hitting her first in-the-park home run during a high school game. It made her incredibly happy and motivated her to work even harder. That moment showed her what she’s capable of and inspired her to keep setting goals, putting in the work, and striving for greatness.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
