Devin loves being part of a team. He is always supporting and cheering on his teammates. He works hard to keep a positive attitude even when the team struggles. He always gives 100%. Batting and stealing bases are his favorite parts of baseball. Devin has played basketball and football but baseball is his passion. His goal is to play in high school, continue on to college and be drafted to the MLB but he also wants to be a veterinarian.
Devin’s mom originally inspired him when she forced him to go to baseball tryouts. It didn’t take long though until Devin fell in love with the game. On the field his coaches and grandparents inspire him to play to his best. He studies MLB players and mimics their playing strategies, working to become the best player he can and develop his skills.
I was the most proud of Devin when after a game he walked up to the umpire, on his own, and thanked them for officiating the game. This showed that not only is he a great athlete and teammate but also respectful and appreciative of those that make the game possible.
