You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
For taekwondo: Dominic loves the precise, discipline and flexibility of the sports. He is a very gentle person, so the slow nature, routine, and meticulousness of taekwondo fits his personality so well. For basketball: Dominic has a competitive edge. He enjoys being apart of a team, both teaching and learning. His willingness to explain and help others comes into play with this sport. He is a fast runner, so he enjoys pushing himself to get down to the basket swift to make a shot.
My son is inspired by his Taekwondo coach because of the way he leads with discipline, confidence, and respect. His coach not only teaches him techniques, but also life lessons like perseverance, focus, and humility. The way the coach pushes him to do his best, while still being encouraging and patient, has made a big impact. My son looks up to his coach as a role model and sees how hard work and dedication pay off. Master Jeon is a wonderful human being.
Recently, Dominic competed in Nationals for Taekwondo in Salt Lake City, UT. He took home the bronze medal for nunchucks, and even though he was not feeling well, he competed and got the highest score in Poomsae as well.
