What my child loves most about football is the sense of brotherhood and the energy of the game. He thrives in the competitive atmosphere—feeling the adrenaline before a snap, the focus during a big play, and the pride that comes with pushing themselves and their teammates to give it everything they’ve got. He loves how football teaches discipline and demands mental toughness. Every practice, every play, every challenge helps them grow not just as an athlete, but as a leader and teammate.
On the field, my child is inspired by athletes who lead with both talent and character. Players like [Ray Lewis,Sean Taylor,Marshawn Lynch,LT and Lamar Jackson] who stay humble, work hard, and uplift their teammates. He looks up to athletes who show resilience, play smart, and never give up! No matter the score or pressure.Off the field, he’s most inspired by his Parents. We try our best to be there for him every step of the way. Motivating and guiding him on a path to success! So Blessed!
One of the proudest moments in DJs athletic journey was during a tough game where the team was down 2 scores and spirits were low, he stepped up,not just with his play, but with his voice and leadership. He pulled teammates together, kept the energy up, and reminded them to keep fighting, play with pride, and support one another. He ended up scoring with 12 seconds left. They didn’t win that game, but the way he carried himself under that adversary showed me the young man he is becoming.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
