I love the competition and the camaraderie. Swim connects you with swimmers all over the USA. Also, +/- 1/100th of a sec. can be a win or a loss and that gets your heart pumping! It's high adrenaline! I swim alone and on relay teams, that means my success is individual and with my teammates, its the best of both worlds!
There is a big group of inspiring pro swimmers, male and female,they inspire, that's true. But, the swimmers that inspire Dynamite are the Age Group swimmers (8-18) across the country who have times that seem extraordinary, he knows who they are and they know him. They follow each other's progress. That's real inspiration, it motivates him and they use that to push each other forward.
Dynamite is an incredible motocross rider, he'd won State before giving up racing competitivly, he believes in his Olympic swim dreams. He sees his bike every day in the garage. It's incredibly hard to give up such an exhilarating passion for such a lofty goals. We are in awe of his drive & tenacity, 6am practices mixed with 2 a days, 6 days/wk. Swim is year round too! It's not one moment, it's this moment in his life! We can't stop beaming with pride!!
