What EJ loves most about sports is the friendships. This is where teammates become lifelong friends he might have never met otherwise. He thrives on the energy of game day, when all the hard work, early mornings, and late-night practices come together. For him, there’s nothing better than putting in the work and watching it all pay off on the field.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

EJ finds inspiration both on and off the field from the people who know him best. His parents are his biggest motivators. He watches and sees them lead by example. They always remind him that he’s in control of two things: his attitude and his effort. That mindset pushes him to give his best, stay grounded, and play with heart. On the field, he feeds off the energy of his teammates. When they’re fired up, it brings out the best in him and reminds him why he loves the game

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the proudest moments in EJ’s athletic journey isn’t tied to a scoreboard, it’s when he steps up as a leader. Whether it’s encouraging a teammate, staying positive in tough situations, or pushing through when things don’t go as planned, those moments show who he is at his core. He leads with heart, respect, and resilience. That’s what makes his family most proud. It’s in those small, character-driven moments that the biggest lessons are learned, both on the field and in life.
