You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
She loves for her coaches to tell her what she can improve in her craft. When they tell her, she strives hard to do better not only to make her coaches proud, but to also make herself proud.
Her aunt inspires her. Her aunt was hurt in a freak car accident at the age of 4. She is now age 39, disabled in a wheelchair. Elia-Christina is named after her aunt because she was fearless. Her aunt inspires her to be great at all she does. She doesn't take anything for granted. She lives life.
The proudest moment that I have of Elia-Christina is when she hit her first (in park) home run in softball. It was coach pitch. The moment she made it home, she leaped up for joy as her team mates joined her in celebration. She waved her hand up and down to hype up the crowd and her coach looked at her with amazement and joy on her face.
