Receive Text UpdatesWhat he loves most about gymnastics is how it pushes him to grow and try new things. It keeps him sharp and quick on his feet. When setbacks happen, he reflects and improves. That mindset helps him in life too. He encourages others to face their fears, but more than anything, he loves the adrenaline and rush of landing a skill or nailing a routine that feeling makes all the hard work worth it.
Who inspires him both on and off the field is how he pushes himself to be his best, especially in gymnastics. Simone Biles is one of his biggest inspirations she shows that it’s okay to make mistakes and to keep going no matter what others say. Gymnastics taught him to compete with kindness and stay true to himself. Even when things go wrong, he knows he can always try again and that mindset inspires others too.
Elijah did well last season but had a few issues with pain on landings and we discovered he had a pretty severe form of scoliosis. He has to wear a brace for 16 hrs a day everyday for the next 2 years. It is scary ,but he is ready to persevere through this challenge and grow stronger in his sport.
