Elizabeth loves wrestling period! She learns something every time she gets on the mat whether she's at practice or competition. She loves to bring new people to practice so they can lean and grow with her.
After her first season in high school she started overthinking and doubting what she was capable of. Coach Dan changed her mindset completely. He inspired her to work hard and just go out there and wrestle. During practice and competition he worked with her. He made her believe in herself and rediscover all the things she loves about the sport. She would not be the same athlete without his guidance and mentoring.
One of my proudest moments in Elizabeth’s wrestling journey was how she ended her eighth grade season. Her determination and work ethic surpassed anything I had ever seen before in her. Her completion was tough but she gave her all and never gave up no matter the outcome! Even after she lost a match, she lost with grace and went into the next match with the same fire she had in the match before. She gets on the mat to wrestle period! Win or lose never quit!
