Receive Text UpdatesWhat I love most about doing cross country, basketball, and track is how each sport challenges me in completely different ways—and yet they all bring out the same fire inside me to grow, compete, and lead.
One of my biggest inspirations, both on and off the field, is my mom. She’s not an athlete in the traditional sense, but she lives with the kind of strength, work ethic, and resilience that I try to carry into everything I do—whether I’m running a race, leading a team, or just facing a tough day. She’s shown me what it means to keep going even when life is hard, to put others before yourself, and to do the little things that no one sees but that matter the most.
Freshman year her father passed away right after she qualified for state. The mental toughness I witnessed from my daughter during this time still blows my mind. Ella went to most practices that week and then ran in the state meet that Saturday. She powered through the pain she was in and still showed up for her team and herself! No one would have judged her if she wouldn’t have shown up that week but she did it anyway. Ella is no doubt the strongest person I know, she is always making me proud!
