Kathleen Baker’s journey with Crohn’s disease is a powerful inspiration to my daughter. Seeing someone who faces the same challenges compete at the highest level shows her that Crohn’s doesn’t have to hold her back. Kathleen’s strength, determination, and success remind my daughter that despite the obstacles, she can still pursue her dreams and live a full, active life.
My daughter’s proudest moment wasn’t about a championship or a trophy it was the fact that, no matter how sick she felt, she always had a smile on her face. Even on the hardest days, when her body was weak and the pain was at its worst, she chose to show up with positivity and grace. That smile wasn’t just for hersel it lifted her teammates, her coaches, and everyone who saw her fight through the struggle. To her, strength meant more than just playing it meant never letting the illness win.
