Ella loves the challenge, loves the feeling, loves the rush, loves the people, loves the grind, loves the medals and loves the sport more than anything else. She is passionate and feels alive on the ice. When her blades hit the ice it’s like magic happens and she is free. Ella has skated since the age of 5 and is incredible at all sports especially dance and tennis but skating is where her heart lives. She loves to see how her performance can make people feel what she feels and more.
Tessa Virtue was Ella’s biggest inspiration. She loved her poise, her 22+ year dedication to the sport. She loved how Tessa was kind and brought a positive attitude to the sport of figure skating. She loves the beauty that Tessa portrayed both on the ice and off the ice. She especially loved all that she gave back to her fans in kindness sharing advice and motivation to many. She is a true role model to all skaters and has shown Ella the eloquence of grace. Tessa is one of a kind, like Ella
My proudest moments is how humble Ella especially when she wins. She always is cheering on her competitors and high fives those coming off the ice. She isn’t scared to share her admiration of other skaters and is dedicated to keeping the sport of figure skating positive even when she has been met with bullying and jealousy. Ella never ever brags about a win but just gets back at it and keeps working hard. If she loses, she tries to learn what went wrong, what does she fix and move forward.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
