Ellen is a strong young athlete that has overcome many challenges that no child should ever go through and persevered through it all.

Ellen loves playing the position of catcher. Some of her best friends are pitchers and she loves being there to support them as their catcher. She enjoys the action packed game that comes with being a catcher and thrives in it. But above all she loves the sisterhood and friendships she has built. She loves to go out and practice as much as possible to improve her skills and enjoy playing the game she loves most.
Jen Schro is a huge inspiration to Ellen and her training facility has played a huge part in her dedication and growth . The coaches have not only supported her on the field but off the field. Ellen has suffered a recent tragedy and this group of coaches has helped inspire her to stay strong as well determined to continue in what she loves. They have taught her to find ways to ground herself and focus on what she wants and loves.
I am most proud of Ellen’s strength not just physically but also mentally. She has grown so much in the last year. She was able to catch one of the hardest throwing pitchers, to push through the challenges of losing someone very close to her and managed to keep herself mentally and physically together through it all. She’s incredibly strong in all ways and I am in awe of her. I could not be more proud of everything she has overcome and accomplished.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
