The competition! Every time he steps on that track he knows that his speed can/will be tested and that he will get better. Having a natural ability to be fast but also growing to be better individually and trusting in God’s plans.
I would have to say I do. Track is a sport that embraced him and he never shied away from. I don’t have to force his hand to want to run. I can see his vision, his work ethic and love for the sport so there’s no choice but to push him to be his greatest.
Erik making it to the Junior Olympics and State in his first official year of track is commendable! When things may not have went his way he went harder to be better. Knowing that this is exactly what he wanted to accomplish from the start and has done speaks volumes to his character, humbleness and dedication.
