He loves the bonds he makes with his fellow athletes, and coaches. One of his first and favorite coaches was diagnosed with a rare illness and spinal cord injury (prior to meeting him), so Ethan has decided that every September, he will wear a band of green tape and a band of orange, in support of him. This is just one example of the lasting bond he makes with the players and coaches, each season. It is not just about the game for him but the family he gets to build on the field.
1st is his pap -He is one of his biggest fans. From buying everything he needs/wants for the game, to being at every game beaming with pride, Jim could not be happier just watching him play. He encourages him anytime he needs it, and coaches him off the field. 2nd is his big brother -Ray. Ray's first year in high school football, made the love of the game that much stronger for Ethan. Watching his big brother play under the Friday night lights, then became a dream for him to do the same.
His 2nd season. The team he played on only had 11 kids to put on the field. Ethan played at least 5 different positions, on both sides of the ball, pushing himself to do the very best he could, going wherever he was needed. With every odd against them, this was the year that he made his very first touchdown and they won their last game! As a mom I was beyond proud, he never quit, no matter how much bigger the other team was, he (and the team) got out there and left their hearts on the field.
