What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I love track because it is one of the purest sports there is. You get out what you put in. Your hard work shows every week when you line up to race other top runners. I love the adrenaline you get when you are on the starting line getting ready to show the world your talent and hard work.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My older brother plays college baseball and he inspires me the most. I’ve watched him put in work his whole life to pursue his dreams. He’s gone through ups and downs but keeps working hard to reach his goals!

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Making it to the 6A State track meet as a freshman in the 100 and finishing the season as the number one freshman in the country in the 200. One year after knee surgery, being the only freshman in the fastest 100 race in state history was amazing. Also winning the Nike National freshman 100 and AAU Nationals in the 100 and 200 this month! Talk about a comeback year!
