She loves the thrill of the sport, and supporting her teammates defensively. She especially loves being able to run back and help her goalies, stopping the ball from ever reaching them and cutting off attackers. The action of being able to slide in and save her teammates gives her an adrenaline boost and makes her day feel so much brighter and better, knowing she helped keep the other team from winning. She also loves to keep her team's spirits high, and likes interacting and meeting new girls.
She has multiple people who inspire her, mainly her family and coaches. The feeling of making them proud is like no other, and helps to push her forward, to take those extra steps and keep going. On the field, its her teammates that inspire her. Seeing their hard work at securing a win for the team inspires a feeling of strength, one that motivates her to be able to push through even more.
Having to pick one moment, it would have to be making the high school JV team as a 7th grader. She went out, was not intimidated by the older players, and simply played her game and became an invaluable member of the team immediately. She earned the respect of her teammates and coaches through her hard work, dedication, and team work.
