He loves the rhythm of the game, the focus it brings, and being part of a team. Pitching gives him a place to be steady and strong, but also to have fun. He thrives when he’s encouraging others, challenging himself, and finding calm under pressure.
He’s inspired by Ronald Acuña Jr. for his passion, speed, and love of the game. He admires how Acuña plays with heart and joy. Off the field, Everett is inspired by his dad, who shows him how to lead with quiet strength, work hard, and stay grounded.
He wrote “you’re ok, have fun” in his hat to calm his nerves before pitching. That quiet, brave act of self-regulation at just 11 years old showed his heart, maturity, and love for the game. It wasn’t about stats- it was about courage. That moment made me prouder than any win ever could.
