What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Everett loves the challenges golf brings. Living where you can only golf for part of the year brings extra challenges as does the unpredictable weather. Everett is always up for a round of golf rain, shine or freeze. Everett has learned patience and perseverance as well as how to win big, and lose graciously. He has also had the opportunity to travel. Everett loves meeting friends in tournamnets from all around the world and learning about other cultures through his international friendships.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Everett follows the PGA closely and his favorite golfer has always been Rory McIlroy. He admires Rory because he never gives up and seems to be fueled by a loss to go away and get strong for the next challenge. Thats a great skill to have. Everett also admires his dad. Everett is coached by his dad and he is also his ‘Daddy Caddy’ in tournaments. Dad is so encouraging and dedicated to making the game fun but also taking it seriously when needed.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I am the most proud of Everett when I see him on the course respecting other players and encouraging others who may have had a bad shot or are getting in their heads. Ev is very respectful of golf rules and etiquette and it makes me so proud how mature he is at the young age of 10 on and off the course. I BEAM when I see him simply taking off his hat to shake hands at the end of a round on the 18th green. I know he is learning so many life skills for his future in his sport but also for life.
