Thank you for generously supporting Everett in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
Competing (for sure), but also loves to learn, lead, push herself and others. She has fun in everything she pursues (even band!), and tries to make it fun for others too - her positive attitude, energy, enthusiasm and work ethic are contagious.
Her older siblings - Jackson 20 and Ellington 16. Jackson balanced playing multiple sports in high school and played football at Vanderbilt for a bit; his work ethic, discipline and commitment to becoming better every day set a incredible standard to emulate in school, sports, leadership, and service. Ellington, too, is very organized and disciplined with a strong work ethic - plays 3SSB basketball, balances 2 jobs, and still has fun with friends!
Everett’s mental game - how she prepares, how she shows up, and how she reads the situation. Pre- game: she warms up on her own - jogs, does wall-ball, visualizes…etc. Game-time: she does her best to lead verbally and by action, and if shooting is off, she is still dialed in, focused on what she can control, eg. Winning 50/50 balls, tracking back on defense….etc. Post-game: she reviews videos and reflects on what to do differently next time. She moves on quickly.
