What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Ezekiel loves being a role model to others on his track team. He loves the feeling of when he hits the jumping board and flying in the air! Especially when he knows it’s a personal record.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

For sure my dad! He is basically my personal trainer and number one supporter. We have spent countless hours out of track season on the track and jumping pit. He has put me in multiple opportunities around the country like Junior Olympics, Nike National's and Arcadia. He’s a teacher and coach so he’s not just knowledgeable but he’s a great role model as well.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Last May at Zeke’s local state track meet he hit 23’6. He was 16 when he hit this in Long jump putting him as #1 in the state of Idaho. This is his second state championship in Long jump. Last year he won with a jump of 21’10.5. Keep watching as Zeke goes for the state record at the 4A level of 24’3.75 or the overall state record of 24’8 which was set back in 1985! We would like to give God the glory for his success and know that Zeke’s gift is from above, (James 1:17).
