My son loves basketball because it gives him joy, confidence, and a sense of connection. He enjoys being part of a team, growing through competition, and expressing himself on the court. The fast pace energizes him, and the sport helps him stay focused, disciplined, and balanced. Most of all, he simply loves the fun and excitement of the game.
My son is inspired by players who lead with heart, discipline, and teamwork on the court. Off the court, he looks up to people who work hard, stay kind, and overcome challenges. Their determination and character motivate him to grow, give his best, and stay true to himself in all areas of life.
The proudest moment in my son’s athletic journey was when his team was down, and instead of giving up, he stepped up to lead with calm focus and encouragement. He showed heart, lifted his teammates, and helped shift the game’s momentum. Seeing him lead with maturity and determination made me incredibly proud of the young man he’s becoming.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
