I love the friends and family you gain from playing on a team. Sports have a special way of bringing people closer, creating strong bonds through teamwork, shared goals, and support. My older brother, him and I have been through very similar hardships through life. We both grew up with financial struggle and going house to house, we have different dads but are together at our moms. He’s taught me how to persevere and work hard in hard times, everything I know is from him. I am grateful that we are living better now but he still inspires me.
Moving a lot to different areas caused me to switch to many different teams, I’ve played on a total of 5 football teams and a few basketball teams. Every time I moved I adjusted and fit in to new groups of people, always making an impact on the team.
