What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Francesca loves being competitive. She likes seeing the outcomes on the field of all her hard work. She also loves her teammates and her coaches.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My dad inspires me on the field because he is my coach and tells me What I need to know to become a better softball player. My mom inspires me off the field and helps me to work on the mental aspect of the game. She encourages me to work hard at softball but also make time for fun with friends.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Francesca feels that one of her most proud moments was when she got caught in a run down but was able to outrun her competitor and score a game tying run. That play tied the game and they went on to win the game and move on in the playoffs and eventually win the championship.
