Gabriel loves the challenge of learning new skills and the excitement of nailing a tough routine. He feels proud when he sticks a landing, and he especially loves when his family is there to cheer him on—it makes everything even more fun and special. Gymnastics makes him feel strong, confident, and gives him the motivation to keep striving for more.
Gabriel is inspired by his coaches because they motivate him and push him to high levels of achievement. From day one they recognized his impeccable talent and foster that talent everyday. He also looks up to Olympic gymnasts like Fred Richard who make hard skills look easy—watching them motivates him to keep practicing. But most of all, he’s inspired by his family, because they always show up, and show out…cheering the loudest no matter what.
At just 6 y.o. Gabriel showed incredible focus & determination while competing at the Texas state meet. During his floor routine, he stepped off the mat & had a slight fall on his back handspring. What stood out most was what happened next: he held his head high, didn’t let the fall shake him, & went on to finish his final event w/ flawless precision. His resilience & grace under pressure was unforgettable — earning him the title of Level 3 North Texas All-Around State Champion.
