Thank you for generously supporting Gabriel in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
He loves interacting with his teammates and the coaches. Gabe has stated that he feels like sports keep him on track with school because he knows he won’t be able to play sports with out getting good grades. Gabe does an amazing job at assisting with the younger kids and making sure they are demonstrating correct techniques so no one gets hurt.
His cousin DANIEL boom Herron is his inspiration on and off the field. He has seen him come back home and run football camps and be an overall role model for the up and coming players
Gabe recently was struck in the face with a baseball during practice. He broke his sinus cavity in two places. He insisted on playing even though he was told 6 weeks out. He brought his mask to the surgeon appt and asked if he could be cleared to play baseball as they had a tournament on Saturday and didn’t want to let his teammates down. He wasn’t worried about himself he was worried for his team. Well the dr cleared him to play with a face mask and he not only played but pitched two innings
