Thank you for generously supporting Geo in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
Geo is from a football loving city and family. He started watching full football games at the age of 2. He started playing at age 4 and loves the game. He's a physical player that leaves it all on the field and plays his heart out. He loves to challenge his body to be better than the year before and he loves to support his team to win together. He has played offense and defense, whatever the team needs.
Geo's favorite player is Brian Dawkins. He is strong in his faith, humble and ferocious on the field. Geo embodies a lot of those same qualities and transforms from a shy, quiet, nice manners kid into a monster the moment he steps on the field. His dad is also his idol. He got in some trouble that ended his dreams of a football future but continued to play on leagues of rough touch, semi-pro and arena into his adulthood. They get to bond over their love of the sport and spend time conditioning.
We bought our first home recently in a new school district. Geo had to transfer programs after playing in his current one for about 3 years. He encountered a lot of challenges in the new program due to him being new and a lot of adversity. He continued to play his heart out for his team even when things were unfair or hard. He held his head up and was respectful to a fault. That year he showed me the kind of man he will be and that football is not just for him, he fights for every player.
