Thank you for generously supporting Georgia in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
By doing karate and kick boxing, Georgia loves that she feels safe by growing her self confidence skills and self defence skills. She also loves the friends she made in karate and kick boxing.
Her sensei Shawn inspires her by motivating Georgia to be her best. Georgia feels very lucky to have such a great instructor and person to have in her life. Her friend Holly inspires her to try her hardest and be the best she can be. Holly teaches Georgia to try new things, try your best and how to be a good friend.
The first time Georgia ever competed for Karate, she was so nervous. But she pushed through those nerves and did her best. Georgia was one of the only girls in her age category and was competing against boys that were bigger than her. Georgia was feisty and went hard during each sparing match. She ended up doing really well and walking away with two medals for both the categories she entered. I was so proud of how hard she had worked to get there and how hard she competed!
