Receive Text UpdatesGrace loves pitching, competition, and the game of softball. While these are all important to her, she absolutely loves being part of a team. Through sports, she has gained confidence in other aspects in life making her a happier child overall. She has made friendships that will hopefully last a lifetime and created memories for herself and everyone that has supported her. If she had to pick something specific to softball, she would absolutely say pitching.
Grace will tell you that her primary inspiration on the field is her family, particularly her father as he helps train her and support her throughout her softball journey. She specifically states that her family inspires her in many ways and enjoys the fact that her father and grandfather both pitched when they were younger. She also wants to give a shoutout to Coach Nate and Coach Megan for always being there for her!
Her first season as a pitcher could honestly make a great novel but if I had to pick one moment, it's the last game of the year. Grace was pitching and the other team's batter hit a line drive back at her. The ball hit her on the chest hard, leaving an immediate bruise. Instead of crying, she immediately got up and threw the runner out at first. Afterwards, she allowed herself to cry but, refused to come out of the game. She struck out the next 2 batters stating it was for her team.
