Receive Text UpdatesThe relationships and the memories she's creating will be with her forever, longer than any record she makes. There isn't a stranger on the pool deck, she knows everyone and everyone knows her. Additionally, the water brings her peace and pure joy. She's happiest when she gets to go to the pool. She also has a fierce passion for competing and has so much fun when she gets to race. She's always asking when the next meet is!
She has said I (her mother) inspire her, for the way I never give up. But I have seen her look up to Olympians and other swimmers who have gone before her. Her attitude is; if they can do it, I can too. She hopes to inspire others by leading with passion and perseverance.
I love the way she lifts others up when they didn't have a good swim (event). You see all kinds of emotions after a race and even though she may have just swam a PB, she's looking for the one who needs a hug before celebrating her own victory .
