What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I love the competition during the game,but even more than that, I love the family that forms around it. Sports have become a big part of who I am. My teammates aren’t just people I play with,they’ve become some of my best friends. We’ve been through it all together: tough practices, long camps, hard losses, $ unforgettable wins. There’s a special kind of bond especially when we qualified for State multiple times. That team comradery is something I’ll never forget. It’s more than games!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My dad was a multi-sport athlete in high school & college, and he’s passed that passion down to me. He pushes me to be a better athlete, a stronger teammate, & to win and lose with grace. With him, it’s never just about the score,it’s about effort, mindset, & character. That showing up for your team, being coachable, and giving your best effort every time is what counts most. When sports end, the life lessons he’s taught me will last forever. I’m so thankful for my coach, my role model, my dad.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

It’s not about one specific moment, but all the little ones that add up—when coaches and parents take the time to say what an amazing kid she is. How she’s a role model to the younger players, always willing to go the extra mile for her teammates. The kind words, the gratitude from coaches who’ve told us, “Thank you for raising such a fine young lady”—those are the compliments that mean the most. As parents, that’s the highest praise we could ever receive. 💚
