As a boy mom I love watching him grow into who he truly is through sports. Growing up without a father figure I’ve often doubted having the tools to help him grow into a man. Using sports and agility training has helped him gain skills and emotional control that I don’t think any parent can give. No matter what, he puts on that jersey and goes out there with all of his heart. I am so grateful I was chosen to be his mama and have the opportunity to watch his growth over the years .
If you ask him, he might say me. *Crying emoji face* but I would say his biggest baseball influence was my uncle who we lost in 2022. G was only 6 and often says that PopPop is helping him out on the field. I know he’s got box seats ready when G makes it big!! Yelich from TEAM BREW CREW is a main influence for baseball. Messi and Ronaldo are the talk of the 10 year olds for soccer.
We were sitting in the dugout and were talking about the score. They were losing at the time and I said, that’s ok, just means you have to practice more and sharpen your skills and you have a lose a few to win a few. He looked at me and said “Being with you is my favorite.” I melted and knew in that moment I’m doing something right.
