Graeson loves being part of a team, building a community of like-minded friends and challenging his mind, body and talent! Though new to Football and originally hoping to try out as a receiver, Grae stepped up when the coaches asked for players to try out at DB. Without hesitation, he replied, “I just want to play, Coach.” He played both safety and cornerback with heart and focus. He wasn’t a starting player but instead of complaining, dug deep and put in the work to earn the spot.
God first! Graeson knows that he can do all things through Christ and relies on his faith to help him in both challenging and rewarding times. He is also inspired by his team; always aiming to improve to better himself and be a better teammate.
His choice to try out for an elite AAA tackle team, fully aware of the high level of competition and his lack of experience. To prepare, he committed to an 8-week football skills camp, showing up every Sunday morning at 7:00 AM without fail. While many kids spent March Break relaxing or vacationing, he chose to join the Stampeders’ pre-tryout training to sharpen his skills. His dedication wasn’t just about making the team, it was about becoming the best version of himself.
