What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves the challenge, the drive to improve his game each time he hits the field. He loves being part of a team- the highs and lows of it. Encouraging teammates, building them up when they need it. All for the love of the game.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

He is inspired by those that he grew up watching. Those that worked for it and achieved. Those that didn’t forget who they were along the way or lose the true love of the game.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

When Griffin was a freshman he earned his spot as a starter on the Varsity team. That team went on to win State. Beyond winning state, what made me proud of him individually was that he didn’t let anyone doubt him or his abilities. He was humble but confident. He was a constant encouragement and strong teammate.
