Gunner loves the rush of emotions when he hits the ball, strikes out a batter, fields the ball, or gets an out. He loves meeting new players and coaches all over the country. And, once he knows you, you better be ready for a hug and a thank you after every game. His love of the game shines through his grateful, humble, kind, and fun personality. He loves setting goals, practicing, and seeking challenges. He embraces every moment on and off the field. His love for life is infectious!
Gunner is inspired by several people on and off the field. On the field, he has been captivated by Johnny Bench because of his incredible talent, leadership, and kindness. He has spent hours reading about him. Off the field, he is inspired by his father, Anthony, who is an Iraq war veteran, amazing provider and motivator, as well as, Gunner’s number one fan. But, the most inspirational drive for Gunner is his internal drive to be the best he can be.
There are multiple reasons to be proud of Gunner. Yes, he has amazing talent, which we are super proud of. But, what makes us most proud is his positive personality and attitude. He goes the extra mile to lift up teammates and opponents alike. He is known by many for his kindness. At the end of each practice or game, he is quick to say thank you and dish out his grateful hugs. This type of positivity is not something you can teach, but it is instead born in them.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
