For bowling- it’s both individualized and on a team level. You perform better when your lane mates have great rapport. It’s a sport that requires mental toughness, focus, determination & heart- mixed with being humble. High fives go a long way as you battle the shift in oil patterns. Soccer is that ultimate team sport. Strikers can’t strike unless mid fielders set them up, because the defenders protected the line and the goalie kept the net clear. Everyone is celebrated when one succeeds.
Our local bowling alley has an amazing support crew from staff to trainers, fellow parents to having a pro bowler who lives local & is always present. They’re always there to lift her up & provide encouragement. Most importantly- her dad is there every step of the way. Gwen’s soccer coach pushes her & never lets her settle. He’s always checking in & calling her out if needed. She responds well to him.
Bowling junior gold championship. It is a tremendously hard and stressful event. Even if she’s not bowling at the top of her game, she walks away wanting more of it and another shot. It drives her to want to compete in more tournaments.
