Receive Text UpdatesHagen loves the one on one competition, being physically competitive drives him to work hard and when he has a challenging opponent is when he does his best. The feeling of accomplishment of beating a all American has drove him to keep coming back stronger and wants to earn the title for himself.
His coaches are a big inspiration, from his first youth coach to the high school coach that took him under his wing, his father who is also his coach, they have all pushed him to work hard and do his best at practice and every tournament. They have big hopes for him to go far and it drives Hagen. The high schoolers he practices with have been inspiring also, cheering him on, working with him and being great role models.
It’s hard to choose one, he’s done amazing this especially this season in freestyle and Greco. But the best part was him losing to one kid who was an all American in Greco-Roman and came back in Freestyle and gave that same kid his first loss. I’ve never seen our boy so happy and proud of himself, of course we were all in tears.
