Parental support (former softball/baseball players in high school) and the positive influence of cousins, teammates and coaches in fostering a love for the sport. In general, playing a sport teaches my daughter life lessons such as time management, perseverance, and handling adversity.
Managed to score a homerun on a drop ball strike was a moment to remember but to be very proud is my daughter continues to put a smile on her face after facing some tough teams/hard losses.
