Receive Text UpdatesWhat Harley loves most about his sports is supporting his teammates and developing his own character at practices and in competitions. He loves pushing himself to get better in practice by learning new techniques and working hard. By competing in tournaments, he tests his limits and develops resilience. Harley works with his teammates to make each other better and always roots them on.
Harley is inspired by many successful wrestlers from his team and province who began competing before him. This includes his coaches (Bryan, Colin, Pat, Fazal), National Champion teammate (Jacob), and Junior World medalist (Hunter). A Paralympian who also has XLRS (Isaac Jean-Paul) provides further inspiration to Harley.
Harley's proudest moment is just being able to participate in his sport despite his XLRS diagnosis. Experts had mixed opinions about whether or not he could participate in contact sports, but he has overcome the barriers that his disease has placed in his way and went on to win multiple provincial championships and other tournaments in both Wrestling and BJJ. He will continue to do his sports and try his best for years to come.
