My son loves getting to see what his hard work let's him accomplish. This kid will bust his butt, grind in the weight room, take every tid bit of information a coach has to offer. He puts it in motion by being on the field, court or track any chance he gets to be better than the day before. For him making once he makes that play, beats that other kid down the court or field, or PR's on the track, makes all the long days, and extra practices worth it.
Honestly, his cousin Braden,has really been someone he has grown up with, but also looked up to even though they are only 7 months apart. He has watched him put his heart and soul into every practice and game he has ever played, and make it to the Collegiate level. Hayden has taken on that work ethic and determination and has come from being a JV player freshman and sophomore year to being Varsity in every sport junior year, going to the playoffs 3rd round in football, winning state in track.
Track might be his least favorite sport his does, but as his mother watching him get up early for that morning run, stay late after school to get a few more reps in around the track made me so proud. Watching his determination to be better than the last meet, come full circle with 5PRs that season and making it to State and being on the State winning team was so exciting. It showed him what he could do on his own with a determined mind set that will last the rest of his life.
