Thank you for generously supporting Hayes in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
Let’s face it, he loves to tackle! But he also loves the camaraderie that comes with being a part of a team and going to battle every week with his “brothers”. He loves every aspect of the game and respects that every inch is crucial to winning. He also respects the importance of getting back up and going 100% every single time.
Hayes is a natural people pleaser so he is constantly inspired by his coaches and teammates to do the best he can. He wants to do everything he can to create a hole for his running back or defend his QB so he can complete a long pass. Again - he’s not in it for the glory because Linemen rarely get that. He’s in it for the bigger picture and that inspires him.
This is easy. He’s always been a big boy and conditioning has never come easy. For years he’s always been the one bringing up the rear during conditioning drills. Many times we’ve watched another teammate go back and run with him so he doesn’t have to be alone. But this season he’s finally more conditioned after doing more in his off season. The first conditioning practice he wasn’t the last one. And I got to watch him finish and go back to run with another teammate who was bringing up the rear.
