Receive Text UpdatesI love playing football because I get to run fast, score touchdowns and be part of a team. Track is fun because I race against others and try to get a personal record every week. I like working hard, getting stronger and learning new things. Even if I don’t win, I try my best no matter what. I just love being out there, having fun and showing off my skills.
There are a lot of people who inspire me on and off the field. For one, all of my football teammates and all of the runners on my track team inspire me. Seeing everyone work hard and work together to do their best makes me want to give 100% for my team, no matter what.
This was my first season running AAU track, competing in the 100, 200, and 400m dash. I worked hard all season to make the semi finals and each meet I didn’t quite make it. At the last meet of the season, I just missed the top 24 in the 200m but I made it in the 100m! I was so happy and thankful to my coaches for helping me reach that goal. Next season, I’m coming back stronger to work hard and make it to the junior Olympics!
