My child loves playing soccer because it challenges her and keeps her active year-round. She enjoys being part of a team, working hard, and defending her goal. The fast pace, fancy footwork, and constant movement make every game exciting. She thrives on pushing herself and feels proud to be small but mighty on the field.
My child is inspired by her coach, who always believes in her and pushes her to do her best, no matter her size. On the field, the coach reminds her that being small doesn’t mean being weak—it means being quick, smart, and fearless. Off the field, the coach sets an example of dedication, kindness, and discipline, showing her how to be a good teammate, and someone who never gives up. She also looks up to her teammates who model great sportsmanship and passion.
One moment that made me incredibly proud in my daughter’s soccer journey happened during a tough game. She took a hard ball straight to the stomach, and it completely knocked the wind out of her. It was painful and shocking, but she didn’t cry. She sat out for just a couple of minutes to catch her breath, and then told her coach she was ready to go back in. Her toughness, determination, and love for the game showed in that moment—and I couldn’t have been prouder.
