Thank you for generously supporting Hudson in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
Hudson loves baseball because he loves the strategy involved especially with pitching. He has already begun to figure out why he needs to throw a specific pitch and where he needs to place it in order to fool the hitter!
Hudson’s dad is his inspiration on and off the field. His dad played collegiate baseball so he knows the knowledge and experience his dad passes on is invaluable. Hudson has the desire to make his dad proud but in his own way in baseball. He wants to pave his own path while acknowledging the past that has shaped him into the ball player he is today.
Hudson lacked confidence. He had a terrible experience with a horrible coach that was condescending and negative towards him. He was only 8/9 years old! It took over a year to correct him mentally and speaking words of affirmation to remind Hudson he has so much to offer. Hudson worked extremely hard one summer, to improve his swing. He went from dancing in the box to staying stacked and driving his hips to put power in his swing. His confidence has slowly creeped back and I am so proud of him.
