Thank you for generously supporting Hunter in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
Hunter loves baseball because every swing, pitch, and catch reflects the hard work and practice he’s put in. He lives for the excitement of stepping onto the field, knowing that for the next few hours, nothing else matters but him, his teammates, and the game they’ve loved since they were 5 years old playing T-ball. For Hunter, baseball is more than a sport—it’s a lesson in life skills, friendly rivalry, personal growth, and the joy of being part of a team.
Hunter’s grandpa inspires him by teaching the value of hard work—nothing in life is given, you have to earn it. His parents are his biggest fans, motivators, and practice partners, always providing opportunities to grow as both a player and a person. Coaches Hunter Kelley and Brandon Mozley believed in a kid with raw potential and helped shape him into the player he is today. Hunter is forever grateful for their support and the lessons learned on and off the field.
What makes me proudest of Hunter is his tenacity and grit. It’s not tied to one single moment, it’s been there since his very first tryout. He’s put in countless hours at the gym, on the field, and in lessons, always pushing himself to improve. He’s faced adversity and been underestimated, but time and again, he’s risen above it, proving not only what a talented player he is, but also what an outstanding young man he’s becoming.
