What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What Isaac loves the most in playing lacrosse is his ability to be competitive but still enjoy the game. He loves the challenge of saving those fast flying balls. His focus is stellar. If he misses, it only drives him to do better. I'm proud that he bounces back quickly with enough time to shift his focus on the present moment of the game and not dwell on such missed opportunities. Isaac never fails to say he is having a great time.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Family inspires Isaac. The support he receives from his parents, siblings and extended family is invaluable. Isaac draws his strength from his faith in God and his love for his family. His coaches also play a pivotal role in Isaac's journey. They not only encourage him but also guide him with his best interest in mind. Similarly, his bond with his teammates is inspiring to Isaac. Maintaining good friendship and respect on and off the field says a lot about his relationship with his peers.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I am most proud of Isaac when he stepped up for the team. He is not afraid to take risks. When he first joined the team, they needed a goalie. He volunteered. At that time, he barely knew the sport. He knew he needed to do the work to be effective. He took it seriously and learned the skill. He showed up to training even on hard days and made sure to be deserving of the position. I'm proud to say he was awarded Most Valuable Player and now goalie for Varsity in his Sophomore year!
