I love skating because I'm able to connect with so many people on an emotional level. Being able to perform and inspire the next generation of talent uplifts me and allows me to push myself harder. I've always loved to tell stories through different media. Figure skating has given me an amazing outlet to tell stories and let my emotions run free and move with the music. Skating has shaped who I am, and I want to use this passion to inspire the next generation of amazing athletes and performers.
Isabella is inspired by Kaetlyn Osmond, her uncle James, and Michelle Kwan. Watching old videos of James first sparked her love for skating. As a young skater, seeing Kaetlyn compete in person ignited her competitive drive. Michelle Kwan’s strength, artistry, and compassion continue to remind Isabella that greatness isn’t just about medals, it’s also about being a good person.
After a very challenging year with many physical, emotional, and mental struggles, Isabella was ready to walk away from skating. With a move to a new city and training environment, Isabella was able to renew her passion and drive, culminating in winning her first National Title at the 2024 Philippine National Championships, a moment that reflects her strength, growth, and love for the sport.
